          Patchwork Yokohama takes  the  reader  on  an adventure into
          Japan. With Vince  Patchwork  as  your  guide,  you  can dig
          bamboo shoots and  plant  rice,  tote  portable  shrines  at
          festivals and attend  Noh  dramas,  visit  love  hotels  and
          doctors, eat fugu  and  horumonyaki, delve into Japan's past
          and future.


          Patchwork Yokohama is  a  unique portrait of Japan. Its main
          characters are Australians,  Vince and Connie Patchwork, and
          their Japanese friends,  Osamu  and  Nozomi  Atsukawa. Vince
          moves through a  procession of adventures, commenting on the
          everyday as well  as  the  extraordinary. Each experience is
          seasoned with Vince's own whimsical observations.
