The PAINTED JAR
by W.A. Tyler

Normie painted a jar with gold paint and thought it was very valuable.

"It isn't really very valuable," said his father, "except for how you appreciate it yourself."

"Gold is gold," said Normie.

Then the day came when the boy dropped the painted jar and broke it; but he never forgot it. He couldn't, for the beauty of the colour gold is just like the metal gold itself.
