There once lived a little boy who thought he was like a prince. So he made himself a crown of twigs, ferns, leaves and grass, of which he felt proud.

When the boy heard how Jesus had a crown of thorns put on him, he thought his crown would have been much better. He would have, he thought, presented his crown with his best grace to the King of Heaven, not to mock Him, but out of thanks for the good things he lived amongst.
