BATH-TIME
by W.A. Tyler

Bobby always had his bath as quickly as possible, thinking that clean and hot water wouldn't like a dirty little boy in it. One day he mentioned this to Mum.

"Oh, that's where you're quite mistaken," she said. "When you look at water you can see through it. That's because it's pure. It doesn't mind washing the dirt away. You can even boil it for your cup of tea. It doesn't mind, because it's a pure thing, like an angel."

"I didn't know! The water won't mind if I stay in the bath a bit longer?"

"Of course not! Enjoy your bath, son."
