Zosimus (1. v. [c. 26] p. 331) transports the war and
the victory of Stilicho beyond the Danube. A strange error,
which is awkwardly and imperfectly cured by reading
for (Tillemont, Hist. des Emp. tom. v. p. 807).
In good policy, we must use the service of Zosimus, without esteeming or trusting him.
