50 Trevor-Roper, Last Days of Hitler. In his speech for the prosecution, Justice Jackson, the American Chief Prosecutor, made a similar point with regard to Speer, but also with regard to Schacht, Neurath, Papen, Jodl et al. Without the expert knowledge of this circle of people, Jackson said, Hitler's efforts and those of his close followers could probably not have been realized.
